Microsoft Operating System Requirements
We do not support Windows Home operating systems for endpoint computers due to the following:
- Feature Limitations: Windows Home lacks critical business features like advanced network management, domain connectivity, and Group Policy support.
- Security Gaps: Windows Home versions lack essential security features such as device encryption, potentially exposing business data to vulnerabilities. Device encryption is not available on Home editions of Microsoft Operating systems.
- Compatibility Challenges: Business applications and software may face compatibility issues with Windows Home editions.
- Management Difficulty: Windows Home lacks centralized management tools, making enforcing policies and ensuring consistent configurations challenging.
- Scaling Issues: Supporting Windows Home OS would strain resources and hinder efficient management.
- Compliance Risks: Windows Home may not meet industry or regulatory compliance standards, posing business risks.
We recommend Windows Pro or Enterprise editions.
