As per a recent addition to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap (as reported by Dr. Windows), the tech behemoth intends to introduce a fresh attribute to the Outlook application for mobiles that does not pertain to emails. This attribute, called “Authenticator Lite,” will allow users to log in to their work or educational accounts without the need for an additional app.
Currently, there are two methods of authentication available, which include “Two-factor Authentication (2FA)” and “Multifactor Authentication (MFA)”. Although Microsoft already has a free dedicated “Authenticator app for iOS and Android, millions of outlook users will be able to tighten their accounts security without even downloading additional software and will most probably available soon.
